The four lines place Baidi, coloured clouds, Jiangling and a one-day return on the same descending river. Calls from both banks continue after the light boat has crossed the mountains. Dai Amei does not chase that speed with a hurried beat. Hulusi, bamboo flute, guqin and soft strings give the landscape room to open: the boat moves forward, and the heart seems to travel more lightly with it.
Li Bai's quatrain appears in its marked poem section, with familiar lines returning in the intro and ending. Contemporary refrains add cloud shadows reaching the human world and a heart following the water past the mountains, stretching the poem's instant into a journey worth hearing again. A clear voice with mountain-like echoes holds both the openness of travel and the tenderness of looking back.
