Wild Grass · Shadow's Farewell

野草·影的告别

Heaven, hell and the future golden world all contain what the shadow rejects. Male Slow keeps ‘I will not go’ low and recurring until farewell becomes more than leaving a friend: it is a refusal to be absorbed by any ready-made destination.

WHY THIS WORK STAYS · BEYOND THE ARTWORK

Hear it whole first. Then read why it remains.

01 · A SHADOW REFUSES EVERY READY-MADE WORLD

Not heaven, not hell, not your future golden world

The selection begins when a sleeper loses track of time and a shadow arrives to say farewell. Three refusals line up before ‘Friend, I no longer wish to follow you.’ This is not an inspirational multiple-choice problem: the shadow does not select a better destination but refuses to let disliked things become legitimate under any grand name. The slow setting keeps that negation in the low register, allowing thought to precede emotional release.

02 · REFRAIN BOUNDARY

‘Between light and dark, I bid myself farewell’ is newly written

The refrain's first two lines—‘I will not go / I will not stay’—recompose and repeat selected source language. ‘Between light and dark / I bid myself farewell’ is a contemporary ending added for this sound study. It turns the shadow's farewell to a person gently toward a person's farewell to self: an interpretive answer, not Lu Xun's text. The page preserves that boundary and identifies the recording as a selection rather than a word-for-word complete setting.

SEVEN-DAY WINDOW · COMPLETE SONGS ONLY

Three days either side. Every ending intact.

These dates are not release dates; they are shared listening coordinates. Open any day and the Chinese and English editions land on the same verified master.

UTC · 91-DAY STABLE ROTATION · NO PERSONAL TRACKING

Not a chart. A daily promise to hear one work properly.

The rotation claims neither hottest, best nor newest, stores no personal taste profile and never recounts a work because it appears under another dated URL. The same stable order returns after ninety-one days.
