Dai Amei sings through dark clouds, rushing wind, freezing rain and the Nine Provinces: nine of fourteen classical couplet-lines are selected, while four contemporary lines return the ancient question to the present without pretending to reconstruct a rite.

01 · NINE OF FOURTEEN CLASSICAL COUPLET-LINES

Removing structural labels and blank lines leaves twenty-two performed lines, 179 characters and 495 UTF-8 bytes, hashing to 55e4647e7b6b9634dd24bb0cc78303c7365d6d481c7f5123cb7b66f7e3e46c87. Against the fourteen couplet-lines of Da Siming, this setting retains source couplets 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 13 and 14—eighteen classical clauses—and omits the descending-spirit pair, the purification pair, the flower gift, the dragon ascent and the cassia-branch waiting. The two-line intro and two human-parting refrain lines are contemporary. 壹陰兮壹陽 and the final four clauses come directly from the source even though Suno places them under refrain labels, so they are not counted as new writing. Source forms including 涷雨, 柰何, 被被 and 不寖近 remain visible; the lyric film is not presented as a critical edition.

Da Siming opens Heaven's Gate and sends dark cloud, rushing wind and freezing rain ahead before bringing the Nine Provinces and the power over longevity or early death into human scale. After high flight, yin-yang, spirit robes and jade pendants, the poem returns to ageing, estrangement and the inability to command parting or reunion. The setting follows that pressure from sky to human life, using four contemporary lines to make an unknowable fate singable now. Its 258-character source tag brief requests a Chu Ci great-fate-deity ballad, Dai female voice, solemn sky-gate ritual, hulusi, bamboo flute, guqin, low soft strings and a slow majestic Mandarin melody; the string hashes to fb52f802f94ce3465f5afd83a06fa8a2fa2eba199a44cb62bfa75c0b964a0643. This documents William Lee's cross-cultural generation and arrangement intent. It proves no pre-imperial Chu score, reconstructed Da Siming ceremony, human instrumental performance or authority to represent real Dai women and living Dai music.
