The handwriting stays; she is still missed.

English parlour chamber-folk direction · felt piano, cello and female alto

After thirty years of copying her writing, the paper seems unable to tell whose hand it is. Having her hand but not her places a learned gesture beside absence. The relationship and reason for separation remain unnamed; neither motherhood nor death needs to be invented.

The 64 BPM parlour chamber-folk direction uses felt upright piano, cello, nylon guitar and barely-there brushes beneath a warm restrained silvery alto. Attend to a phrase-ending pause, like a little space left unwritten beside leaning letters.

[Verse 1] I have been copying her handwriting the way the y comes down the little hook she always made when she wrote the name of town [Chorus] And the letters lean the same now the paper doesn't know which one of us was holding it thirty years ago [Verse 2] She wrote the grocery lists in pencil she wrote the cards in blue I have her hand, I have her pause I do not have her, that is true
