Set down new wheat; hear an invitation to sit.

Mandarin northwestern folk direction · banhu, sanxian and 6/8 hand drum

Wind, the Yellow River and ridgelines widen the view; an old hoe, a father’s hands and a mother’s flatbread bring it indoors again. The bridge imagines new wheat placed on the table and a smiling invitation to sit. Homesickness can live in work-worn textures and a meal, not only a sweeping map.

The northwestern Chinese folk direction sets bowed fiddle and banhu answers, sanxian, acoustic guitar and hand drum in a grounded 6/8 pulse. An open female-alto idea uses mountain-song colour and pitch bends; communal responses keep an acoustic restraint. A related title does not merge this exact work with other songs called Huangtu Gaopo.
