A road enters cloud; its echo falls deep.
Li Bai in Chinese · roots-dub direction · deep male voice and echo
From ancient founders to Sword Gate, the poem’s astonishment, dangers and wish for return unfold in sequence. The ending revisits the difficult road without reducing the poem to a slogan or supplying a traveller’s fate.
The public roots-dub brief proposes a 68 BPM sway: rolling bass, one-drop drums, offbeat guitar and organ, lonely melodica and deep male half-chant. Tape delay, dropouts and spring reverb form a cross-style setting, not an ancient-performance reconstruction.
