A light to come home to
Klezmer doina · female mezzo · clarinet · cimbalom and accordion
Longing is held in a small light rather than a sweeping distant landscape. Rain touches a mother's window; a folded piece of lace and an old suitcase keep a smile like a little sun. The wandering does not end, but it gains somewhere to look back toward.
The creative direction draws on klezmer doina: a free, slow opening, restrained sway and a female mezzo answering a clarinet, with cimbalom, accordion and bowed bass around them. The aim is not the volume of sorrow, but its gradual passage into song.
The refrain asks for one more song, then another. The lyric deliberately refuses wild dancing in favor of gentle steps forward. Night need not be driven away; it can be accompanied until morning.

[Intro]
[Pre-Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Instrumental Interlude]
[Verse 2]
[Bridge]
[Final Chorus]
[Outro]
