Let longing sing softly, without a return date.
Mandarin southern rain-ballad direction · slow 6/8 and bamboo flute
“Give the past back to me” returns while another line refuses to ask for a return date. The song lets longing stay between an old alley and moonlight, keeping the tension without announcing an outcome for the listener.
A 62 BPM, 6/8 southern-Chinese rain-ballad direction proposes bamboo flute, pipa, guzheng, erhu, felt piano and soft strings, with Yue-opera-like ornaments. Published lines about the voice and melody remain lyrics, not independent evidence of a performer.
