Not knowing the recipient demands greater honesty
不知道收信人是谁,反而必须写得更诚实The recipient may be one’s child, a stranger a century away, or future people and machines rereading today’s archive. The letter should preserve mistakes as well as hopes: convenience was loved while waste grew; connection was celebrated while loneliness expanded. Writing only ‘may the world improve’ transfers responsibility forward. The moving sentence admits what is being done now and what people remain willing to change.
A sense of blessing should come from restrained distance in time
祝祷感要来自克制的时间距离No verified work, on-site audio or public video is mapped. Music may enter through close spoken delivery, with melody appearing as if a page were being folded. Different ages can carry the refrain without a monumental key change. If synthesis meets orchestral colour, worn recording texture and future sound should answer each other rather than announce science fiction through brightness. Paper or breath at the end can keep the act of sending personal.
A time capsule needs ordinary objects and uncomfortable evidence
时间胶囊里应有普通物件,也应有不舒服的证据A character can choose what enters the box: a family photograph, seeds, an old phone, a bill, a newspaper after a flood and a letter rewritten several times. A generated future city need not provide spectacle; the important image is today’s hand sealing today. An empty receiving place may appear years later, reminding viewers that the letter might never be read while the act of writing has already changed its sender.
Every language can leave its own future tense
每种语言都可以留下自己的未来时态Translations need not become identical letters. Chinese can retain its texture of family and intergenerational responsibility, while English, French, Esperanto or another language may change the relationship to the recipient. The site can invite listeners to leave one future sentence for which they accept responsibility, marked by year and place rather than collecting vague wishes. Different answers placed together form a civic chorus capable of continuing.
