A thousand miles, but not alone.

English Persian Silk Road ballad direction · oud, santur and a duet design

Rain-washed streets, a farewell cup at Yang Pass, Liangzhou night wine and the Qin moon over a Han frontier form a sequence of parting images. “You are gone” becomes “not alone,” offering a following song rather than a promised reunion. Published bridge voice instructions remain in the source text, not a newly asserted historical event.

The Persian Silk Road ballad direction joins English words to a Bollywood-duet design, with oud, santur, ney, daf and warm strings opening the space. The producer’s latest art copy carries the farewell through azurite, malachite, ochre and moon-white mural imagery. Mineral texture and spacious landscapes offer another reading of the musical story.

[Intro] Moonlight on the western road, Sand and silver, wind and stone. A lonely pass, a cup of wine, A thousand miles, and you are gone. [Verse 1 - Farewell at Yang Pass] Morning rain has washed the town, Willows shine in tender green. Friend, take one more cup with me, West of the pass no old friends are seen. One more cup before you ride, One more look across the plain. If my song should follow you, Let it fall like evening rain. [Chorus] Beyond the gate, beyond the sand, The moon keeps watch above the land. Where horses fade and rivers run, My heart still follows the setting sun. [Instrumental Interlude] [Verse 2 - Liangzhou] A cup of wine glows in the night, The pipa calls from horseback high. Do not laugh if we fall asleep Drunk on the edge of the desert sky. Since ancient days, how many returned From battlefields so far away? The flute still cuts the mountain wind, The stars still burn where soldiers stay. [Chorus] Beyond the gate, beyond the sand, The moon keeps watch above the land. Where horses fade and rivers run, My heart still follows the setting sun. [Bridge - At the Frontier] The moon of Qin, the pass of Han, The long road waits for every man. If only the flying general were here, No foreign horse would cross this span. Do not push the voice too high, Let sorrow rise like smoke in air. Let every note return with grace, Let longing bloom but never tear. [Final Chorus] Beyond the gate, beyond the sand, The moon keeps watch above the land. If you look back through dust and light, I will be singing through the night. [Outro] Moonlight on the western road, Sand and silver, wind and stone. A lonely pass, a cup of wine, A thousand miles, but not alone.
