The source interweaves new passages with the traditional text of Man Jiang Hong, retaining its pronunciation cues and historical frame. Its urgency is heard as poetry, not a present-day appeal against any group.
The public taiko-ensemble brief rises from 76 toward 108 BPM. Deep male lead, brief responses and final unison are framed by large drums, shime-daiko, shakuhachi, horagai and bell. The expansive tails belong to the production design.
