Creative direction: classical ensemble portrait · four-beat motion and answering phrasesWhat do these music words mean? ↓

Travellers, guests and the host each enter the widening view before birds offer another perspective. The feast’s description as neither strings nor bamboo is a textual scene, not evidence that this recording contains no strings or winds. Lyric imagery and arrangement are separate.

The brief proposes pipa and dizi with poised accents and interlude replies in four-beat motion. Calls in the text suggest a question to hear, not proof of a fixed call-and-response performance. Attend to how actual phrases meet.
