Set down the hoe and listen to the wind. Creative direction: Chinese folk · flowing triple time and a rising phraseWhat do these music words mean? ↓
The wheat bends, the sun lowers and shadows lengthen. Rest is not treated as falling behind: water comes before another song. Laughter reaches the doorstep, keeping the landscape connected to daily life.
The folk brief requests flowing triple time and a rising motif. Three-beat grouping specifies no speed, and high wheat does not require louder sound. Try a cycle of three, then hear a small tune pass between parts. Rising pitch, growing volume and more layers are different changes.
High can describe a word’s image, pitch or loudness. Separate them before deciding what changes in the sound.
Metre · grouping beats, not counting words · a little more Metre organises beats into recurring patterns of relative emphasis. In quarter-note examples, 3/4 gives three beats per bar, 4/4 four and 5/4 five; five can group as 3+2, but not only that way. Six-eight usually groups six eighth notes into two threes, and twelve-eight into four threes. Grouping the smaller units of seven-eight depends on the piece. A time signature specifies neither tempo nor syllable count.
Try listening: Away from the recording, try cycles of three and four beats, then the longer and shorter groups suggested for the work. Set counting aside if it does not fit; a creative brief is not a compulsory answer.

It is not a psychological motive or a whole chorus. A motif requested in a brief is not a motif already identified in the recording.
Try listening: Remember a small shape or rhythm. Does it return, change voice or develop? Not every repetition needs that label.

[Verse 1]
[Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Instrumental Interlude]
[Bridge]
[Final Chorus]
[Instrumental Outro]
